True Romance 2:Elvis Has Left The Building
Monday Apr 19, 2021
Monday Apr 19, 2021
Based on an early script by by Quentin Tarantino, but directed by popcorn maestro Tony Scott, True Romance is a genuinely wild combination of styles with an insanely stacked cast of early 90s stars - from Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette as the unfeasibly gorgeous romantic leads to hilarious supporting turns from Brad Pitt, Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and many more.
In this week's podcast we discuss Slater being technically miscast but weirdly perfect, Arquette's brutal but badass scene with James Gandolfini, Gary Oldman's craziest role ever and much more, plus drinking games, listener submissions and sequel pitches! This one's quite a ride!

Little Miss Sunshine 2: On The Road Again
Monday Apr 05, 2021
Monday Apr 05, 2021
Little Miss Sunshine was a true word-of-mouth sensation back in 2006, winning two Oscars and making a strong case for the introduction of a 'Best Performance by an Ensemble' category.
The film stars Abigail Breslin as an adorable 8-year old whose dreams of winning the Little Miss Sunshine beauty pageant take her on the road trip of a lifetime with her seriously dysfunctional family. These include her on-the-rocks parents Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette, intentionally mute brother Paul Dano and suicidal gay uncle Steve Carrell.
On this week's episode, we react to the movie and discuss some of our favourite moments - including Alan Arkin's effortless scene-stealing, the excellent use of character pairing and of course the Steve Carrell run...
We'll also brainstorm some drinking games, check in with our listeners for their reactions and pitch some sequel ideas to get the Hoover family back on the road!

Monday Feb 15, 2021
A surprise smash hit in 1996, The First Wives Club proved the pulling power of three brilliantly funny women of a certain age. Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton star as a trio of recently jilted spouses who reunite and vow vengeance on their former husbands.
On this week's episode we break it all down - including Bette Midler's unflattering knitwear, Goldie Hawn's impressive lip work and of course, that song... We also brainstorm some drinking games, check in with our listeners for their reactions and, of course, pitch some sequel ideas!
